Web Developer PHP – Central Manchester Location

We are a leading multichannel retailer based in Manchester city centre, and are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join a growing team. You will participate in a wide-range of challenging software/web development projects, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment as part of an agile team, working alongside other members who share your passion in this space.

The successful PHP developer will be passionate about all aspects of PHP development – someone who likes to learn new technologies and keep up to date with what’s new and what’s current. You will be at the forefront of all new PHP based and other planned developments helping drive Fred Aldous forward.

 

Essential Web Developer Skills:

> Must have experience with Magento Community edition.

> Highly skilled in PHP.

> Front-end & Back-end experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, HTML 5, Ajax.

> Must enjoy being part of a team.

> A passion for high quality and efficient code.

> Linux based server maintenance and diagnosis.

> MySQL Experience required.

> SQL database and data manipulation.

> Networking Experience.

 

Desired skills non-essential

> Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics RMS would be a huge advantage for this role but is not essential.

 

Responsibilities in this PHP Web Developer Position include:

> Development across major open source technologies.

> Deliver web projects and web development co-ordination.

> Work alongside Web Master and Company Directors.

> Take part in planning and implementing future website progression.

 

Contract

> Full time role, Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (part time hours may be considered). Salary. £15,000p.a – £35,000p.a depending on experience.
