Blank Media Collective are seeking artists for ‘equals’, our forthcoming exhibition that aims to open up and critique the conversations surrounding contemporary British feminism and gender equality to anyone and everyone. Through the exhibition and supporting symposium, publication and events programme, the goal is to provide a platform for artists, writers, musicians and thinkers to develop and express their thoughts and concerns on the themes of feminism and its wider social implications.
We are looking for you to answer:
This is an evolving conversation and we encourage you to develop your thoughts and ideas through this exhibition. We are particularly looking for work that approaches the issue from subjective and/or critical angles.
All genders are encouraged to submit work and any medium will be considered. Artists’ fees and expenses are available pending successful funding application.
Please submit a proposal for new work(s) and/or existing work(s) for exhibition. Please note that a collection of works on the theme will be welcome. Proposals must be accompanied by a current CV, artists’ statement, biography, images or other relevant documentation of 5 or more recent works. Please include relevant web links.

Deadline for proposals: Monday 27th May 5pm.
You will be informed if your application is successful by Wednesday 29th May. Please bear in mind when proposing new works that the exhibition will open on 11th July.
Please note that if your work is selected, you will be required to be available from Friday 1st July to collaborate with the curators and other artists to install your work. An Artists Q&A will be taking place on Saturday 13th July. Travel expenses and accommodation will be provided pending successful funding application. Alternatives will be negotiated if funding application is not successful.
