We recently did a blog post on lino printing and if you’d like to have a go, why not try the one of the Ministry of Crafts printmaking courses.
They’ll be holding both both Screen stars: Introduction to Screen Printing and Introduction to lino cut printing course on in our very own basement studios next Saturday (28th September), which are taught by Nell Smith of nellclothing, who has a studio full of delightful designs in the Northern Quarter’s Manchester Craft and Design Centre.
Learn how to achieve a high quality one or two colour screen print and to create your own design. Nell will take you step by step through each process, including mixing our own colours and you can bring along your own t-shirt, bag or pillow case to print onto. Introduction to lino printing will give you the skills to start printing at your kitchen table and whether it be cards or coffee cups you’ll get to grips with simple motif making and leave with a bundle of cards, wrapping paper and a fabric printed tea towel or bag.
