Martin Halliwell is the tenth artist we are introducing you to that has produced a limited edition cover for our Sketchpad range. A very dear friend of Fred Aldous, Martin has been helping us produce Risograph products and packaging which so far has included the FA Picture Frame inserts and a range of greetings cards. Aside from helping us Martin is the Head Designer and Design Manager at Sport Specific.
We caught up with Martin to find out a bit more about him.
Tell us a bit about the idea behind your sketchbook cover?
My aim was to use a mix of flat colour and single colour imagery. From the outset I wanted to use teal and red.
Have you used a Risograph printer before?
Yes I have used the printer quite a lot. Working with Mark and Paul (the Fred Aldous Directors) we are currently developing Riso printed packaging specifically for Fred Aldous products. These have included the glazed picture frames and the photo booth strip frames with lots more in the pipeline…. watch this space.
