We’re going to be heading down to Islington Mill this Sunday for the launch of Covet, a new homewares brand and online store from prop maker and stylist Mariel Osborn. Focusing on sumptuous texture and intriguing design, Covet will feature a beautiful range of home brand textile pieces and unique products from independent designers and artists.
Mariel is part of the costume and performance collective Volkov Commanders and has produced props for clients as varied at Skunk Anansie, Bestival Festival and Mothercare. Working from her studio at Islington Mill Mariel is surrounded by some of Manchester’s most exciting creatives, so it is no surprise that she has selected fellow Islington Mill residents to work with. FA Sketchpad artists John Powell-Jones and Aliyah Hussain have already been announced as contributors, along with Constructions by CSH and Studio Up. We’re looking forward to getting a sneak peek at the full range of Covet products this Sunday.
If you want to head along to the public launch this Sunday from 4-7pm, please rsvp to email@example.com
The Covet website will launch on Sunday 23 November.
