We’ve been taking a look at new hobbies that we can try out for the new year and our Sue has taken us into the world of Felt! She’s been busy making these cute felted animals from Tomomi Maeda’s Stitched Safari book and now we all want to try making our own felted pet.
With 18 patterns for pets, wild and farm animals this book is perfect for creating gifts for little ones (or even big ones!) who love animals. The patterns are easy to photocopy which means that you’ll be able to make more than one of these fuzzy friends. Sue used our Felt Squares to make the critters and stuffed them using standard poly stuffing.
Have you ever tried working with Felt? Whether working with Felt Sheets or trying Needle felting, this versatile material can be used for a host of different projects from plushies to handbags and you can even use needle felting to repair jumpers! Take a look at our Pinterest board for some inspiration and don’t forget to share what you have made with us. Start your Felt project here.
