MakeFest is an exciting, hands-on festival taking over the Museum of Science & Industry this summer and will be anything but mini.
It’s a chance for you to show off your skills and to get friends, rivals and the public making.
Code a Raspberry Pi next to Baby, introduce your robot to a steam engine or get everyone knitting molecules in our Textiles Gallery.
If you’re a techie, maker, crafter, educator, hobbyist, engineer, artist, science club, student, tinkerer, tailor or even a candlestick maker then we want you to be part of MakeFest.
Grab that paintbrush and let’s go…
How to take part
MOSI need all kinds of people to make MakeFest happen. From high tech to low tech and anything in between, they want to hear from you.
You can apply to:
· Have a maker station to show your work and get people making
· Run a workshop
· Give demonstrations
· Have another idea? Let them know on your application or drop them an email to email@example.com
Applications can be submitted from individuals or groups. Your creation doesn’t need to be finished – works in progress are always welcome.
Please apply by 17 May.

They are also hosting A-Maze-Balls at MakeFest – a collaborative build to create a massive marble run. Visit the A-Maze Balls website for more details, and contact Bob Clough if you’d like to take part.
