Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 24 Apr

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day is an international event created to promote and celebrate the art of pinhole photography and encourages people to take some time off from the technological world and join in with the simple act of making a pinhole photograph.

We explored Pinhole photography last week in our blog post on alternative photography processes to use out in the sun, so we will be cracking out the Ilford Obscura to celebrate Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day.

There are lots of great events and activities taking place across the world to celebrate this lo-fi photography technique. If you are in the Todmordon area we recommend heading over to Fundevogel, where artist Debbie Sharp will be leading a pinhole photography workshop where you will learn everything you need to know about making and using your own DIY pinhole camera.

Debbie Sharp has worked extensively with the photographic image – completing her MA in photography at Manchester School of Art and having exhibited and worked with Red Eye (MCR), Open Eye Gallery (Liverpool), Deptford x festival (London), LOOK11 international photography festival, Sluice art fair (London) and Exchange Rates New York, and had features about her work in The Wire and The guardian.

Price for the full days workshop and lunch is £25
