Workshops: 16 days of street art action 2015 23 Sep

16 Days Of Street Art Action 2015
Pillars of the Community
25th November – 10th December

On each day of the international campaign ’16 days of action to end violence against women’ a piece of street art depicting a revolutionary woman will appear on street pillars on Oldham Street in Manchester city centre.

This action aims to promote the work of female artists from across the northwest and celebrate some of the lesser-known female icons of past and present. The pillars will remain decorated until 30th January 2016.

As part of the action there are a series of women centered workshops in the run up to the campaign, offering the unique opportunity to work with local female artists, practicing different art forms and looking at some of the issues that have inspired this action.

The workshops are for 16 + and are being run in partnership with Creative Café.
