It is Mothers Day this week so we have been looking at ways how artists have honoured their mothers and motherhood, and it has got us inspired to get crafty and make something special for the women who have had an important role in our upbringing. We’ve scoured Pinterest for some top craft tutorials that we think would make the perfect handmade gifts.

#1 Handmade Flower Soaps


We found this Flower Soaps tutorial on the Free People blog, it couldn’t be any easier to follow and you only need a handful of items. We think these flower soaps will great gift for those that love the great outdoors.

You will need:

Dried or pressed flowers (dried lavender is easy to find, or why not try flower pressing)
Soap Base
Soap Moulds or silicone baking moulds.

#2 Mid Century Ceramic Hand Dish
