Fix Up Look Sharp 18 Mar

PLY_Exhibition_Poster_A3_NewFixUpLookSharp_04This month PLY is celebrating its loyal customers while raising money and awareness for young person’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent, in partnership with its up-cycling focussed clothing brand Fix Up Look Sharp, with an interactive photography exhibition and series of fashion led events.

Customers will find digital cameras, installed around PLY throughout March for them to get snap happy. From selfies, to group shots, action shots or even an artistic impression of the atmosphere, participants are invited to capture their finest moments in PLY in a bid to be a part of the art and fill the exhibition spaces with their faces.

Running alongside this, PLY will be accepting clothing and fabric donations on behalf of Fix Up Look Sharp by CLIC Sargent throughout the month and on Wednesday 16th March is hosting a clothes swap to raise money for the charity, this will be followed up by an up cycling workshop where guests will learn how to transform what may have been trash into sartorial treasure, with how-to guides provided by the fashion brand.

The Fix Up Look Sharp exhibition will be made up of images taken using the cameras at the bar, along with shots taken at the fundraising events. Those who have a back catalogue of good times in PLY that, quite simply, cannot be replicated need not fear, contributions to the exhibition can also be emailed to PLY or contributed via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #FixUpLookSharp

For the folk who are lucky enough to make it up onto the walls, they will be filling some big ol’ creative boots with exhibitions from Will Broome, Andrew Salomone, and Swifty preceding their work at the Northern Quarter bustling bar and pizza hangout.

PLY has a history of including its guests’ work in its exhibitions; most recently customers were asked to contribute to Scott Wiener’s Guinness World Record breaking pizza box collection with the coolest and best executed pieces taking pride of place as part of the installation.

Beki Rymsza, marketing manager at PLY, says: “Fix Up Look Sharp is the latest in a long line of events that form part of PLY’s creative programme. Here at PLY, we love creativity and we love our customers – our space is their space, we want them to feel a part of it in every way and we’re really proud that together we’re supporting CLIC Sargent and Fix Up Look Sharp.”
