We are really pleased to announce that for the third year we will be taking part in Manchester After Hours. The annual event, which is billed as a city-wide social, is this year a mixology of odd couplings and unexpected combos. The free event is a chance for you to get into places and spaces not often open after hours, and, with everything timed and clustered in different neighbourhoods, you can create your own nocturnal journey around the city.
This year, we are collaborating with The International Photobooth Convention to bring you a night of photobooth mugshots, 3 minute portraiture and the the famous Mono Print Collective risograph zine workshop.
On the top floor, our photobooth artists, Mr Mixup and Kate Tyler will be on hand throughout the night to help you create your very own miniature masterpiece. Stationed by the booths they will be sharing some of the techniques used in their work and exploring the creative potential of the photobooth.
Once you’ve hopped in the photobooth, make your way downstairs and add your creative touch to our collaborative canvas or find either Caroline Dowsett, Alex T Fraser or himHallows who will be doing 3 minute portraits which will adorn the walls of our shop.
No Freds at Night would be complete without Mono Print Collective running their legendary Risograph Zine Workshop, there will be 80 places on the workshop on a first come, first served basis. If you want to join make sure you head there early as this is going to be popular.
If you like the sound of our Photobooth Party and if you are on Facebook, let us know if you will be coming along here.
