Aliyah Hussain is a visual artist and jewellery designer based at Islington Mill in Salford. She makes playful contemporary jewellery that is inspired by her own sculpture and drawing. She has paired up with Manchester Pottery to lead a 4 hour workshop on Sunday 28 August, in which you will design and make ceramic beads and pendants.
You will learn handbuilding and colour decoration skills, being guided through the process in a friendly, relaxed group. All abilities welcome! Your ceramic jewellery will be fired and glazed after the session, and ready for you to collect after a couple of weeks.
The workshop will take place in the Common Room (first floor) at Islington Mill from 11am to 3pm. There will be tea and coffee provided along with a light (vegan) lunch, but feel free to bring snacks and refreshments.
Due to the popularity of this workshop and limited places booking is essential, and places are non-refundable or transferable. This workshop is available to adults only (16+), all abilities welcome.
If you would like a place on the workshop head to Manchester Pottery’s ticketing page here where you can book a ticket for £37.76.
