Dylon Multi-Purpose Dye - Madonna Blue - 500ml

10g needed per 500g/1lb of fabric. NOT recommended for use on polyester, acrylic or acetate fabrics. Hand Method : (See special instructions for wool) 1.Wear Rubber Gloves. 2.Weigh, wash and rinse articles. Strip colour if necessary with DYLON pre-dye. 3.Fill vessel with sufficient hot water to cover article 4.Dissolve dye in 500ml/1pint boiling water and add to vessel. 5.Add 60g/2oz of salt per 500g/1lb of fabric to the vessel and stir well to dissolve. 6.Immerse the damp article in the solution and bring to the simmer (95 degrees celsius). Maintain at simmer for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. 7.Rinse article until water runs clear. Dry away from direct heat and sunlight. 8.Wash articles dyed with Multi-purpose dye separately. Wool: Follow steps 1-5 above 6.Immerse the damp article and bring slowly to the simmer and turn off heat at once. 7.Dye for 10 minutes, stirring gently. 8.Remove article from vessel and allow to cool at

room temperature, before rinsing in lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Washing Machine Method : For fully automatic front loading machines only. DO NOT dye wool or silk in the washing machine. DO NOT dye less than 500g/1lb of dry weight fabric or more thanlaf the machines maximum wash load. DO NOT use economy or half load programmes. 1.Weigh and wash the fabric and leave damp. 2.Wearing rubber gloves, add required amount of dye to drum of washing machine (not soap dispenser) 3.Add 60g/2oz of salt per 500g/1lb of fabric being dyed, covering the dye powder. 4.Place damp, unfolded fabric into machine. Set and Run the longest, hottest wash cycle without prewash. 5.Remove the fabric from the machine and dry away from direct sunlight and heat. 6.Clean Machine immediately by running the longest, hottest wash with one cup of bleach. 7.Wash articles dyed with multipurpose dye separately. NOTE:Reseal the tin immediately after use.
