- Until I bought and tried this I had no idea how useful it would be. I was making balsa wood furniture for my dollshouse and using the sanding sealer meant I had a really good smooth surface when I was ready to varnish it. Even when I had done a lot of sanding and filing on a piece, this sanding sealer gave me a good finish. Don't be afraid to give your work a couple of coats if necessary.
