Brushes

Choosing the right brush is an important consideration for every painter. Whether you are working in oil, acrylic or watercolour, we have an excellent choice of natural and synthetic brushes; ensuring you have the best quality tools to produce your masterpiece. If you are working in oils or heavy body applications of acrylic paint, you will want to choose a brush that can withstand the viscosity of the paint. Hog hair or stiff synthetic brushes work well with this type of paint as the thick bristles can hold and move the paint well. Soft natural hair and softer synthetic brushes are perfect for more fluid paint consistencies such as watercolour, gouache, thinned acrylic and oils. The brush point and spring will be important considerations when choosing this type of brush.
