The National Festival of Making RETURNS!
After an incredible first year, The National Festival of Making is back, promising another packed schedule of free workshops, street performances and art installations!
Building on last year’s success, welcoming 30,000 people to take part, the festival will offer over 100 FREE and affordable making experiences in the company of master makers.
Just a stone’s throw away from Manchester and Leeds, the festival will call Blackburn it’s creative home once again, celebrating the area in which the manufacturing industry and the entrepreneurial spirit are still in full bloom
Whether you learn to throw a clay bowl, create your own cardboard VR headset or learn an endangered craft, the festival team aim to help thousands go home with a new skill or spark of inspiration.
Supported again by co-founder and influential designer, Wayne Hemingway, The National Festival of Making brings together artists, designers, national and international manufacturers, small-scale makers and the public together to explore their making potential.
