FIELD NOTES - XOXO 2019 - Special Edition

Portland, Oregon’s XOXO Festival started several years ago to celebrate independent art and technology, and since its beginning, Field Notes have been producing small custom runs of their Memo Books for attendees. Each year, the festival selects a visual artist to develop a “look” for the event, and they work with the artist to create a set of notebooks. This year’s artist is Portland’s Maja Dlugolecki. Her brushstrokes and abstract colour fields countered with white space — bright watercolours in this case — look great reproduced on soft, felt-textured cover stock, reminiscent of watercolour paper.
